David Olivencia is an international business strategy and information technology executive with diverse leadership experiences achieved through his leadership in multiple Global 500 organizations and prominent international non-profits.
Currently, David is a Senior Vice President for Softtek leading its media, technology, and peripherals industry practice for North America. Prior to Softtek, David held various technology and strategy leadership roles at Verizon, Oracle, Ford, NTT, and Accenture.
David is a renowned speaker on technology’s impact on the businesses and corporate governance and has addressed technology issues in prominent forums including the US Congress, NACD, NASDAQ Opening Bell, NASA, Business Week, Hobson’s, Comcast Newsmakers, among others.
David currently serves on the Board of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business. David is also Co-founder and Board member of HITEC leading hundreds of this hemisphere’s senior technology executives to expand the pipeline of technology senior executives and build world-class information technology and business leadership.
David also serves on the Board of Directors of the CHLI with 10 members of the US Congress. David has been recognized in Hispanic Business Magazine’s Most Influential Hispanics in America, Crain’s Detroit 40 under 40, HACR’s Young Corporate Achiever Award, and NSHMBA’s 2006 Executive of the Year Award.
David earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from Notre Dame where David also received the 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award. Additionally, David has completed the Harvard Corporate Governance program and has completed his Certificate of Director Education from the NACD.
